Try the release V1.0 instead of B6!

Big difference.

V1.0 instead of B6????
Is this a later version??? if so need to get it..  after hours of trying, media player 6 would not see the vcd (burnt to cdrw).
i decided that this was  because when burning vcd either
1, It does not write dao or close the disk.. or
2, it write's the disk with joilet.    the xbox cant read cdrw's burnt with joilet setting
if you burn a dat as a data disk then you can play it no probs.....

In ALL cases, you -MUST- either use a program like GDFMaker (not XISO which is VERY VERY VERY buggy) or RecordNowMAX to create CD-RW/DVD-R's that the Xbox can understand and read.

With RecordNowMAx (download the demo!!!) you do not even need the intermediate step of making an ISO with GDFMaker.

So burn away with it (IN DATA MODE, accepting all of the installation defaults...)

Re: Advantage = full mpeg support

This includes SVCD, DVD (VOB), VCD, etc.

Yes you can use the existing config file but you should really add the other missing media type suffixes to do so.

"Yes you can use the existing config file but you should really add the other missing media type suffixes to do so. "

does that mean this line,
example:
           <filemask>avi|bmp|dat|jpg|mp3|mpg|mpeg|wmv|xbe</filemask> ???

cuz i deleted this line alltogether in the config i used..
got example from the file i downloaded before i started altering it
Cheers...

I haven't tried without the line in, but I ended up just adding the missing suffixes, e.g. .vob, etc.
