Xobx you have to be the most annoying poster I have ever seen.  My God how many times do you think you need to call the people at EB2K?  Trust me when they have the product and are ready to ship it they will ship it.  If I worked at EB2K I think I would try to find your order and cancel the damn thing.  I am sure there is something productive you can do with your life while you wait for the chip (productive does not equal calling EB2K nor does it include posting in these forums).  Try a library, a movie, or a girl oh wait that one probably isn't possible.

Dude you are out of line....He can and should call those idiots as many time as needed and untill they tell people what the F is going on with their orders...

We were all told 48hours and now it STILL SAYS 24hours....If you dont want to hear complaints dont read the posts with Xodus/Matrix...

Now go back to answering  your phone at EasyBuy because you sure sound like one of them

Damn Straight!!! Xobx has is completely in the right about this one... I hope EasyBuy loses a lot from this fiasco.... If you can't run a business properly, get outta the business and go back to mopping $hit off the floor...  beerchug.gif

You guys act like this is a business built on integrity and trust.  You can say you trust Lik-Sang (they have always been on time for me) but don't act like these are legitimate companies.  For God Sakes they are selling shit so you can steal intellectual property.  Whoever makes the best and easiest solution for this theft is the one who will sell the most.  You can break as many deadlines as you want in this business customer service is not the number 1 priority the product is.

QUOTE (xobx @ Sep 26 2002, 03:34 PM)
However, I did see on the EB2K forums that someone talked to them and they said it would be ready Monday!  MONDAY...yep, that's 24 hours from this past Monday when they said "ships in 24 hours".

                                    HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA.....

This is exactly what I have been thinking...  That is the funniest line I have read in the forums in a long time.

I understand that we are trying to buy a not so legit product, but that does not give someone the right or the ability to jerk people around.  Just give us the truth and we will stop bitching.  Personally I want my 18 bucks I spent for next day delivery back....

But anyways....  I thank Xobox for being the one to get the info for us.  I am tired of playing with these SOB's.....

What most of you don't understand is that the Xodus manufacturers are more to blame then Eb2k is. Xodus has been giving 'tidbits' of information to Eb2k everyday. Xodus went SO overboard with protecting their investment that it effected the 'flow' of Eb2k. I understand everyone wants their chip, I do too, but flaming all over the forums isn't going to get the chip to you any quicker. Half you guys seem like your entire world surrounds this chip...like...nothing else matters in the world except this chip. Relax guys, have some patience. It will get to you.

yes I have and I am patient becuase I know it will come.  People spend 60, 80, 120 bucks and act like that is a huge investment.  Everytime you order something from any of these companies you assume risk and I don't feel sorry for anyone who gets screwed.  Easybuy has never screwed me on anything I have bought from them.  We have purchased multiple Dishnet programmers, an unlooper, AVR's, and Atmega cards with no problems.  The two Xodus/Matrix will arrive and when they do they will be installed into a couple of my friends Xbox's until then the just wait.

I ordered and OpenBox from Lik-Sang about three weeks ago and have been running it for the last couple weeks.  I would only use the solder mod I just feel safer with it.  My friends realize they cannot solder and are scared to have anyone solder.  With this fear is a price and that price is to wait getting upset won't make it come any sooner.

I would agree.

I will wait a couple of days.  If we don't hear anything positive from Easybuy, I am going to cancel my order.

BTW: I don't wish to flame eb2k i just wish they'd treat their customers better. If we don't accomplish anything but making them take care of their customers better then at least we've helped the industry some smile.gif

Xmod,
I'm not laughing!  Good thing for them that they are the only game in town.  Otherwise, a bunch of people would be bailing out of purchasing the item from them!  That may still happen if they don't come through shortly! Simple answer.  That is exactly the reason they continue to not update their website with accurate information.  It allows them to continue to sucker in more folks so they can charge their credit cards upfront!

QUOTE (bwn82k @ Sep 26 2002, 11:35 PM)
EasyBuy is giving us, the consumer,  the run-around because Xodus is giving EasyBuy the run-around.

Really? That's an interesting scenario...

Here's one for ya', Devil's Advocate-style:

Xodus is giving Easybuy the run-around, because Easybuy, after flubbing the OpenBox clone, needed a product.

Easybuy makes Xodus an incredible cash offer in exchange for exclusive distro rights, and Xodus goes into production...on their dime. Easybuy tells Xodus the "check is in the mail, send us a few first-run production units."

Xodus complies..but what's this? Where's the check?!?!

Xodus and Easybuy are in a pissing match, and you, the consumer is caught in the middle.

As this whole business is shadowy, I would not be one bit surprised if it all played out this way...with some "M$ stopped us at the border" crap to boot...

Just another way to look at it. If Xodus is on the up and up, they will sever this exclusive deal and get the product out, because at this point the taste is soured due to someone taking money for product they don't have to ship.

You can't blame Xodus for *that* now can ya'?

Unless they were one in the same...but that would be waaayy off into the land of "conspiracy theory speculation" now wouldn't it?
