Know what I REALLY want????

An Xbox version of Real player. (i know it sux...)

This way I could play all of my South Park and Simpsons episodes on my Xbox without having to go through the painful process of converting them to divx (takes a hella long time...)

cONEction,

Fragmentation is *not* a problem on the xbox.  Not even with a 100+ GB partiton w/60 games on it.  Not even, if for some reason, you decided to delete 30 of those games and put 30 more on there every day.  There would be no noticable performance degredation.  If you're having problems with games freezing/crashing when you launch them from the HDD, it is again *not* from fragmentation.  Unplug your network cable, the games will now work fine  cool.gif

What I would really like to see, is a version of the EvoX BIOS that will exit whatever program is running and start the dashboard when a certain combination of buttons is pressed.  What can I say, I'm too lazy to get up and hit eject twice...

If that can't be done, maybe someone can look into how the eject button itself works.  There must be some way to send the console a reset signal w/o having it eject the DVD tray.  Yes, I know you can do it by momentarily changing video modes, but I regularly switch between the standard, advanced, and HD AV packs...so it is not practical for me to use this method.  Plus it would be much cleaner to have one method that would work in all situations.

Can somone tell me how XBox would be able to play games from other parties?  I mean, the others can't play XBox...

But if this was made *easily* possible, I'd bet XBoxes would start selling

I think the xbox scene is one of the best that i've been involved in personally, there's not much on my wish list, only

1. If/When MS introduce "anti-mod" games, someone can remove the protection

that's it

BTW for the guy who wanted a reset for mame-x

press backup and start TOGETHER (this will take you back to the list (least it does on mame-x 6)

5. Be able to play PS2 and Gamecube games on the Xbox

laugh.gif Now that might be JUST a wish.

I dunno about the dc emulation. The xbox probably won't read original dc discs. So that means you would have to burn everything to cd-rw.

check out this thread at xbox hacker http://www.xboxhacke...=ST;f=12;t=5666
an on/off switch in the controller.  Instead of wiring the yellow wire to the on/off button you could wire it to the eject button (top pins on eject button)

I read somewhere that a DC emulator for the xbox was being worked on...which is good because, although the xbox won't read original GD-roms, dc games are very easy to backup onto cdr/rw's using the serial or broadband connection....

But i can't imagine a dc emulator being playable on xbox....it just seems so unreal...but i can hope...i'd play so much soul calibur....until soul calibur 2 comes out

9. For the xbox team to have all the MS resources available without all of MS's tyrannical business practices.

                                    you can't be serious....

have some respect for american business.  I love open source software--but that's what sets it apart...MS is not even close to the only company that doesn't release all of their intellectual property for free.

I'm kinda getting sick and tired of hearing all about how MS is the evil corporation trying take over the world.  dry.gif

especially if that person uses the xbox, a fruit of ms labor, and then steal intellectual property to make themselves feel like fucking robin hood.....just a bunch of selfish pricks.

Damn right.  You know as far as I know MS has done nothing but make free software for you and you bitch.  Even though they dont directly give it to you. You still are getting it for free, so dont bitch, you cheap punks.
