Hope this helps out.  rolleyes.gif

When using X-ecuter just put the switch in the only wire it has... when using the other chips, refer to online guides tongue.gif

I just have a question.

Did u have a hard time sorting out the wires and soldering them each into its corresponding place? huh.gif

They are all the same color and it seems a bit hard tongue.gif

For turning off the modchip. There is a big scare as to what might happen with xbox online. That's the reason.

Nothing has been said, but most probably YES.

Ms service could detect the modified bios easily.

The ZIF socket is a nice touch.

QUOTE (limbfilter @ Jul 29 2002, 10:51 PM)
right...It's not the modchip that they could detect, it's the bios. But how many of you guys are going to use xbox live?

Easy... switch back in the original BIOS "on the fly"

All that's involved is the chip enable or an address line or two.

Actually, what some should be more worried about is M$ finding software on the hard drive that doesn't belong there.

Say Buh-bye to EvoX dashboard when M$ gets around to writing a little routine to check for it.

[oMega] the trick is to use a meter to find the correct wire and possible have someone else help at that. I touched one point on the mobo where we connected the wire, then my helper who was soldering the wires to the ZIF went through them all until it beeped.

It was tedious, but it worked.
