I've already given a download location for the Xctrl drivers but for those that missed it here it is again: Zctrl Drivers. You can also find a cable here.

I've tested these drivers with Halo, a MS Controller S, and the cable I sell on my website and they work great. I do not have any problems with full auto weapons when the trigger is held down.

For the person that said he couldn't find xid.sys, you won't find it in the CodeUnderGround drivers, xid.sys is a part of the GrooveYardFunk drivers.

okay here is my problem. i used my controller with xid drivers. i wasn't impressed with them so i unistalled them and went for the xctrl drivers. when i go to install them it prompts me with 'can't find xid.sys file'. i went into the halo pc forums on irc and someone told me that since i already installed the xid drivers i wouldn't be able to install the xctrl drivers. he said that i should delete all the xid files i have on my pc, reboot and reinstall xctrl. i did that, even deleted all the xid files in the registry. but when i rebooted and hooked up my controller it still comes up with 'found xbox controller minidriver xid'. i know some people out there have installed different drivers with thier controller so there has to be a way around this. please if you can help me with this problem. thanks in advance.

when i go to add hardware and click usb, have disk, it says 'installing xbox controller HID minidriver, XID'. then it asks for the xid.sys file. i point to where the xctrl files are, but it still keeps asking for the xid.sys file. i went through my registry and deleted all xid files, but still no luck. any ideas? and why does it keep recognizing my controller?

lol, your gonna hate me, but i was just wondering...tried out the xctrl drivers. is it just me (my settings) or were the xid minidriver ones better? i have to tap the right trigger for every shot in a rapid fire gun. and the controls are still the same. when you move forward/backward you kind of strafe. that's what the xid drivers did. i was hoping that the xctrl ones would have fixed that. is there anything in the settings to correct this? let me know if you've experianced any of this. thanks again.

well again it's been fixed. messed around with the settings and changed the axis deadpoint sensitivity. not quite the same as the xbox, but just as damn close. thanks again.

jb, this is waht u do for rapid fire.. instead of just pushign the triger when u are setting it.. you gotta MASH it.. hit it hard, so it sets it as a button and not an axis.. this should help alot of people, the left and right triggersa and the white and black buttons are buttons not axis's
