Very new to the X-box scene(about a week). From what I can tell I have a v1.3 machine, Have modded the machine with a Exec 2.2 lite+ installed the bios yada yada. All games boot fine off DVD-R except the games that take over 4+ gigs on the disc; I'm running on the new Evox release and d6 bios. Using PrimoDVD to burn the images which seems to have no problems.
The two images I've burnt over 4+ gig are Shenmue II and Oddworld II(Shenmue booted once then frooze and has not booted since, Oddworld will not boot at all)
Is this a trait of one of the lesser dvd drives mentioned (Philips etc)?
And if so, is adjusting the POT worth a shot or a pretty risky gamble?
