Just got a 2nd xbox to make a 2nd XBMC.  I was hoping to get a v1.1+ to replace the noisy v1.0 in the den.  No dice... I got another v1.0 and the GPU fan on this one is even louder.  I'd like to replace the heatsink as opposed to getting a quieter fan.... which will eventually get louder.  I've seen a few old posts that replacing the v1.0 heatsink with the fanless v1.1 heatsink, but haven't seen specifically whether it was v1.1 only or if v1.2+ will also work.  I might be able to get my hands on a dead xbox, so if I can use the one from that (not sure what version it is yet) instead of the permanent fix involving thermal glue, that would be preferable.
