QUOTE(MickRaider @ Jul 2 2006, 12:41 AM) View Post

Haha that's funny. When I first painted my xbox I wanted to use those exact same colors. But at the time I couldn't find the green that I wanted so I ended up using a chameleon green and white.

Looks real good though.

Thanks guys!

Photo whore lol tongue.gif  I like the colors.  Nice work with the leds.  As Grim D said, add some side vent and maybe underglow and you'll be pimpen tongue.gif

Nice work  pop.gif

I used to have side vents and underglow in it, but they were poorly done.  I ripped all that out when I painted it and started over.  I might do it again.

i like the jewel, havnt really seen too many actual custom ones...3-d either

The jewel is cool.  It sort-of sets it apart from other xboxes.

QUOTE(SICKdimension @ Jul 2 2006, 01:02 AM) View Post

Flawless! Good job.

It's not quite flawless, but it's as close as I chose to get it.  There are a couple of things I could have done better.  But if you guys can't see my mistakes, I guess I did a pretty good job.

Thanks again for the help with the resistors SICK.

QUOTE(Dracc @ Jul 2 2006, 02:39 AM) View Post

Where did you get the jewel from? Because I am just starting on my friend's box and I need a very specific custom jewel, and yours looks fantastic. Also, SOLID paint job. If you could, PM me with the jewel details, eh?

The jewel came from eBay, in an auction such as this.  They take any design and laser etch it into a piece of acrylic.  I think some designs work better than others.

Very nice job.  I like the jewel and the lighting.  The Fan light was a nice touch.  I put a blue one in one of mine then realized i could never see it where i had it sitting sad.gif

You painted the case screws.... No one else noticed it but I love it.  It's the little details that count.  Paint looks amazing.

The fan is cool (no pun intended), but you're right.  No one ever sees it.  It just puts a green hue on the wall.

Wow, thanks.  Krylon Fusion seems to work pretty well.  It's solid due to a few weeks working off and on painting and sanding.

Thanks, Everest.  I wondered if anyone would notice.  I put them on a magnet hanging from the basement ceiling so that I could paint all sides of them.  The paint will chip over time, but I wanted it to look good at least when I took the pictures.

16.

I used a pringles lid.  I was able to do it with very little wire.  I just bent the legs of the LED's and soldered them together in parallel.  Here are some pictures, if you're interested.

Thanks for the feedback guys.  I'm glad you all like it.

Speaking of the last post, I have been thinking about doing a couple of controllers to match.  Green on the top, white on the back.  What do you think?
