Well... I'm going to go get hinges for the back door later on maybe, and I just used the actual xbox parts placed in the amp to see where the exact placement of the parts will be, and the hd is going to be mounted right side up on the top of the inside of the case. and everything else in the same place, except for the mobo will be turned differently. So it's a planning in progress, and im making progress, ill update w/ pics later

I have yet again changed the positioning of every componant. This is the final position/layout for everything, I will have pics up as soon as I can get some batteries for my camera.

But one problem, I am going to have to solder extensions for ALOT of wires.

-Dvd Power wires
-4 controller port wires
-Power/eject pcb wires
-possibly all 12 psu to mobo wires
and MOST painfully...
-The Audio Video connector wires.

For the AV connector, I am going to have to desolder the entire connecter from all 22 points and the 2 that hold it on, then solder 18" extension wires to the mobo for all 22 wires that will be soldered to the corresponding points on the av connector. That is going to be the huge pain in the ass...

Is there any other solution to this?

For the ethernet port, I am going to just plug in an 18" ethernet cable to a black coupler, and use that as the port on the side set flush with the side of the box in its little perfectly dremel cut hole biggrin.gif

And the power cable will just be plugged inside of the case to the mobo then out a hole. So the cable is always connected, like an amp's power cord.

well, theres an easier way to do it with the av connector, if you use the stock av cabels then get some female to female rca connectors  (may not be easy to find... but i know they exist) and just have the whole av cabel inside the amp and then mount the female connectors in the back and buy some normal av cabel
(the one with red, white and yellow) and run that to your tv...

just my 2 cents... biggrin.gif

EDIT: makin it a ltle bit eadier to understand... smile.gif

Is this what you are talking about?  If so you can find them almost anywhere, walmart, bestbuy, radioshack, circuit city, ect.  If that is what you mean, he should have no trouble finding them.  If you meant something else, sorry.
