QUOTE (RuFf rYdA @ Sep 2 2003, 04:14 PM)
the xbox reboots three times then flashes no audio ,video ,   but i still here the hard drive working so will i be able to do what i said above

Sounds like a bad modchip/flash or bad connection.  The PIC chip will re-start 3 times/then flash when it doesn't get a good bios load.

If you could get your Modchip working you could use Config Magic, which allows you to lock or unlock the HDD at the push of a button.

If you dont have the HDD lock codes, then I dont know of a way around it.

Since you have your locked hd with all your data on it, why don't you just ftp your data to your computer, swap out the hd, reboot with slayers config new hd, ftp your data back from your computer to your xbox with new hd. tongue.gif

sorry bout no one helping you, i can help u on aim or yahoo or msn my email is [email protected] aim is: Spgurley7 yahoo is: spgurley msn is: [email protected] my last name is gurley lol thats y my screen name's that.  but if the xbox will only turn on, and will not boot up, then swapping the hdd after boot will not help.

it may be a lifted trace, or loose connection, or another problem.

but since you didnt use config magic to lock or unlock it ever, you dotn have the master password TEAMASSEMBLY and you also dont have your hdd unlock key like you said, and so unless you can get the/a modchip working on the same mobo it was locked to, the only thing you can do with it is throw it away.  but dont throw it away yet, there is usually a way to fix it.  if you really need the data on there, then i know this one guy who i think can un solder the eeprom (contains the hdd unlock password) from your old mobo and solder it into your new one.  but talk to me on aim or aol or msn or email me and i can try to help you unlock it.
