Ok so far the reasons i've seen that this can't happen is because its 'IMPOSSABLE'
to desolder the processor. So if someone could figure out how to do this 'Impossable' task, being that its a standard intel processor, it sounds like alot of you would pay alot of money. I've always been told if someone can put something together, someone else can take it apart. I have not read any other reasons why the processor couldn't be swapped.

I don't see why you people think this is imposible after everything that has been done so far. A quick google search reveals many ways to desolder BGAs (not that I'd touch it with a ten foot pole). The turbo button is plausible also, I suppose there might be games that use the processor clock instead of the system clock, like many old DOS games that run insanely fast on todays CPUs.

Edit: They also might have a source of Xbox motherboards that don't have the CPU soldered yet, but that's not very probable.

Xbox games are made for the 733mhz xbox and not for some super turbo xbox.

It might be cool for linux and stuff but it wouldnt have much use.

I think that's kinda the whole point we've been making all along, alex. And i don't recall anyone saying they wanted their retail games to run faster.

Yup, it'd be good for linux and good for homebrew, which is about 80% of what i use my xbox for.
