Before I start off with my post, I'd like to say: I am somewhat of a newbie at this, tho I am very fairly computer savvy and did put in quite a lot of time reading/search before posting... Sorry ahead of time for wasting anyones time, as I should just buy a MXK... But I am a poor college student, and I have to save my nickles and dimes for beer/food/rent.
***** If you think I am an idiot already, please stop reading and go look at porn or something(yay porn

).
I just wanted to check out running linux on a non-modded 1.0 xbox and maybe see if I can get Apache and some other apps running(UAE-X, mediaplayer, etc). Plus a friend of mine just traded me 007:AUF for Bruce Lee(he got ripped off)....
Ok now to my issue: I have a 128mb lexar media "jumpdrive" memory stick and my xbox detects it just fine(and I made a xb>usb cable, yay im not a total newb). I am able to save/copy/delete games/music, on my xbox, with no problem. But when I try to use the hacked copy of mega-x software, MXM_BxBx, I am running into a few issues.. The hacked version detects the memstick fine, but I cannot see anything that was saved via the xbox. And the compacity is off.. On the xbox side the memory unit size says 7869 blocks, from the hacked version of MXK its says 2014. Now, at first I thought this could just be a false reading since the software was orignially designed only 32 mb memsticks... but when I transfer save's from my harddrive to the memstick, the compacity is adjusted correctly. And the save shows up(in MXM_BxBx) as if it had correctedly transferred it to the memstick(which I assume is correct, as it lowers the avaliable blocks on the xbox side too). But the problem is, the save's from the pc wont show up on the xbox(nor will vice versa as stated above)...... SOOOOOOO, is this thing is uploading the data to the wrong partition on the memstick? It appears to be completely compatible with my xbox, so shouldn't it be possible to use it to copy savefiles/media?
I am a xbox hacking newbie, but I do understand how the TSOP/buffer overflow exploit works.. And for the record, I am a linux server admin. If anyone has any input to this, please let me know.
Thank you very much.
