haha no shit, deleted the /cashe files, (only had 4 of them,) and straight away, runs from the original DVD and from the HDD

wtf? what would the cashe have anything to do with it? unless it is storing info about the game, but surly it wouldn't know if you had a mod or not.

and even if it did, you would think it would just put the info back in the cashe again

oh well, seems to be working fine.

i have softmodded a friends xbox today (3 in total) but none of them can play the games like i do and mine is softmodded to (someone else did it for me and i payed him 50euro)
i deleted the cashe files but the games still dont work but the same cd does work on my xbox

is the way that i softmodded those xbox's or something else?

well deleting the cache didn't work for me, i am running a 2.3 lite plus and avalunch .49, Any ideas?

apparently there is no solution.
v1 120gb drive, xodus chip doesn't work, causes freeze.
clearing cache files doesn't help.

I too had the same problem and got this to work. What i did was delete everything from the e:\cache and then turned of the system setting IGR and the avalance IGR everything worked fine after that.

I just ripped NFSU2 to my xbox and it plays perfectly, Xbox V1.0, Phillips drive, X2.6 w/ 4983.06, Maxtor 200 GB 7200 rpm 8 MB cache drive. Plays perfectly no freezing at all. I used dvd2xbox 0.5.5 (I have the latest d/led just have not ftp'd it too my xbox yet).

currently on a dvd-r and a dvd+rw got, stock hd (10 gb) thomson drive x2.3b pro with bios 4981 and on bank 2 4983.06 same for each freezes at start

I am having the same problem with my newly modded box, v1.0 with a xenium ice chip. I try to load NFSU2, Amped2, and Brunout 3 from either DVD2xbox, v6.2 or evox dash, v. +3935, and these games lock up after trying to load a profile. I have other games on that drive have no problem loading. THUG2, Fable, SSX3, X-men legends, etc. All of these games load just fine. I am going to attempt to clear the cache. The question is... do I just delete the cache files on the e: drive or are there other cache files that I need to clear? I checked the evox ini and all instances of IGR are turned off. Any help would be great. I will post after i clear the cache. Also NFSU2 (disk) will not run the game from evox or the original dashboard (mod chip disabled).

OK cleared the cache and all is well. All the previously mentioned games are working perfectly!! Thanks for the cache tip!

Cleared cache and EVERYTHING, and my NFS still wont work...

i also noticed that the music never starts playing when it comes up...
