It also went straight onto my HDD with no need for alterations...

Another interesting sideline: whilst the Euro PAL version is dirtier than the US one, the Australian PAL version got banned outright! (which frankly is ridiculous, cartoon boobs are harmless enough, surely?) I still think that Fable's scope for consumated bisexual bigamy is far more controversial  ohmy.gif

The only thing really you have to change is:

# Offset 00168368
HR|${DEST}\default.xbe|1|7411688C8B240068204B26008BCE|EB11688C8B240068204B26008BCE|

Could someone test if it works ? AgentEB ?
As far as I get no other answer I'll publish AgentEB's acl file only for the ntsc version as PAL seems to work !?

im not going to say where, but some people believe that a search will reveal a site that contains two replacement files, one for the HDD fix, and one for the nude patch, making life simple.

you'll have to delete your old games saves from the original disk cause the modified default.xbe has a different save address then the original.

You can still play your old save files if you edit the default.xbe yourself. Here's how to do it:

1. FTP the default.xbe from your Leisure Suit Larry MCL directory over to your hard drive

2. Open default.xbe in your favorite Hex Editor

3. Go to offset 00168370 (The line reads: 3b 81 9c 05 00 00 74 11 68 8c 8b 24 00 68 20 4b)

4. Change '74' to 'eb' then save the file and transfer it back over to your Xbox (be sure to make backups just in case)

The game will now run off the hard drive and you will be able to use your old game saves.

Want to remove the censor bars? Here's how do do that also:

1. FTP the original AppInit.JAM file from your Leisure Suit Larry MCL Data directory over to your hard drive

2. Open AppInit.JAM in your favorite Hex Editor

3. Do a Text Search for 'NudityMode', You'll see this line of text: Name "NudityMode".Type Boolean.Data 0

4. Change the 0 to a 1 so you have Boolean.Data 1

5. Go to offset 00371490 (The line reads 0.000000 1.00000)

6. Change the 1.00000 to 0.00000 and save the file then transfer it back over to your Xbox. No more censor bars

Weird. Are you using the same default.xbe that you backed up off your CD or are you using one that's already been patched by someone else? As I was editing my files I read this thread and saw that there were problems loading old game saves so I got worried but when I loaded mine everything was okay.

Using Hex Workshop, how exactly is this done. If I scroll to what it says is "offset 00371490" it is shown to be "6865" or the letter "h" in the word whether and binary as 01101000
I'd like to mke this work (censor removal)
I need help

Thanks to AgentEB i have my LSL:MCL running off my xbox HD, which is fine for now, but i have not yet upgraded my HD and it is still only 10 GB of which i have just used my last 2 GB on Larry. I do not want to use my original disc, as i find people who come over and play leave my discs out of the case, and or on the floor/stuck to dried beer rings on the table, which pisses me off to no end.
In order to retain my sanity i like many others prefer to back my games up to dvd copies.  beerchug.gif
How would i go about patching this game to work off of a dvd-r?

I have tried looking at the only 'place' i 'usually' look for these patches and did not find anything.
I am fully capable with a hex editor if anyone knows what bytes need to be changed to what.
Thanks alot,

When I loaded the default.xbe from the hd, at the above offset, the line already read:

3b 81 9c 05 00 00 EB 11 68 8c 8b 24 00 68 20 4b

So, I am still unable to load my saved games from the drive.

Besides that, the above ACL patch worked fine, I am just trying to play my saved games. Anyone else have this problem?

Peace

I can't get leisure suit larry to work with the acl..I got dvd2xbox 5.9 I copied agenteb's post and pasted to notepad then saved it as 56550031.acl and notepad saves it as 56550031.acl.txt. I then put it in E:apps/dvd2xbox/acl and from there everything I do doesn't work all the treads for how to use acl files on dvd2xbox are not updated for 5.9 all of the older ones say press white button here then L button when white and L don't do anything on 5.9 if you could please walk me through this. if it helps I have dvd2xbox is on my E: and my games are on my F: .. thanks
