True it has 10 files in it. But it shouldn't have looked like registry numbers.

Did you install SetupMooGUI_1.1.0.msi ? Double-click, or right-click select 'Install'.

Hmmm... MooGUI's installer uses the Windows Installer, maybe your installer is out of date? Im guessing here. See the 'SetupMooGUI.txt' for the download links for the latest installers.

hi bud yes i followed the links to get the latest installer and when i downloaded it i was told on screen that  "the specified service already exists"

ok to be a bit more specific i downloaded the file from above link
my o/s is windows 2000

when i clicked on the downloaded file/folder i have a folder with 3 files in it

moogui release txt
setupmoogui txt
setup moogui installer

(spellings not correct as you know what i mean) :)

from here i click on the 3rd file setup moogui installer and all that happens is another winrar window that looks like this

Hmm... have you tried 'Right-click' then select 'Install'?

WinRAR shouldnt be opening the MSI it should get passed off to the Windows Installer.

Have a go at the 'Right-click' method

Extract it out of the archive first.  Then try double-clicking or right-clicking.

True, the right-click will not work from within WinRAR. The MSI needs to be extracted from the rar first.

Just tested on 2000, it installed fine. I just extracted the RAR contents to a folder, 'right-clicked' selected 'install', even works with a double-click.
