Thanks. I realized I had an older version of dvd2xbox. Downloaded the latest version and was able to do everything as instructed. Thanks again for the prompt response.

Breakout...

When you make a backup of the disc to DVD-r, you dont need to change a thing. Leave the long filename as it is and dont bother with the media check. a 1to1 copy of the original works just fine.

When you hex edit "default.xbe" from

73666F726D5368616465722E787675 to  2E7876750000000000000000000000

You are changeing the reference to the file:

PostProduction_ScalarDepthVelocityTransformShader.xvu
to
PostProduction_ScalarDepthVelocityTran.xvu

So the file on your hardrive should be named:
"PostProduction_ScalarDepthVelocityTran.xvu"

NOTE:

Once you have made these changes to "default.xbe" and the long filename, you MUST run those changed files from the HARD DRIVE. If you burn these modified files to a DVD-r with the rest of the files, the game will NOT play from the Disc it simply locks up one the EvoX / Avalaunch loading screens! I appologise if this is diferent for anyone else, but i have tried on 3 seperate xbox's...

Gigas & of course Wiso for DVD2XBOX ... you guys are great... cheers  beerchug.gif

as for murdo's quote.. is this confirmed with the new ACL Ntsc race driver?
i just backed up my Toca Race Driver with the new ACL supplied by Wiso's link and it worked like a charm.. i was about to backup to DVD-R until i saw that qoute.

It seems people have been having mixed luck with this. I know at least two people that have tried burning a new ISO with the modified files, and when their xbox boots up, it freezes.  On the other hand, both NightL1fe and I have successfully done it...

strange...

Appologies once again!
