Having flashbacks of ETM days.  Spending more time looking for the patch then I did playing the most crapptastic game since Bruce Lee.

no bodies got it, otherwise everyone would have it, its like the 99th monkey theory.
don't worry though, in a week only newbies will be asking for it. ohhhh! "THE Suffering", what a world, what a world! just bought the game and I have to have my *fix* already...

why would everyone have it just cuz somebody has it? the patch is illegal so therefore it won't be circulated around xbox-scene. thats why you don't hear people saying "I have it! and get it at this link.."
anyways, IF you did buy the game, stop your whining and play it until you find the patch by next week like the newbies will.

Well, if there really is protection in the game, then getting to the bottom of it may be a priority.

Can someone who owns the 2 aforementioned games compare the retail XBEs and the patched XBEs (if you have them) and try to sort out a difference?  If there's a common patch between them, that might be a good thing to add to dvd2xbox's patching list or even upcoming BIOS releases.

I dont' see why it needs to be a "priority."  Just use your original disc until things are straightened out.

Because it seems to be getting a little too common a problem! wink.gif

Well, this is the place where alot of people try and LEARN about what's going on in the xbox scene.

Not everyone comes here just to figure out how to break the law and play free games, some of us enjoy the challenge in figuring out things we aren't supposed to tongue.gif

Choose your own adventure.

Do you really believe that?

If "yes" go to page 53 and move to a larger city.  You've been in po-dunk Arkansas for too long and are naive.

If "no" go to page 38 and stop posting nonsense.

I don't come here to break the law.  I come here to help others and for exactly the reasons Dindas said.  I must be a naive idiot from some podunk town, too, right?

I'm intrigued by your ascertion that anyone who is not a pirate kiddie is stupid.  My understanding has always been just the opposite.

Exactly.  As much as I would really enjoy reading 1900 posts from uninformed gamers every Tuesday and Thursday about how their HDD backup of <insert game of the week here> doesn't work, I'd be happier solving the problem and shutting everyone up.  laugh.gif

MOD EDIT:  No, nobody is going to help you via email with your downloaded copy.  If the original won't play, it has nothing to do with the hard drive issue we're discussing. --Xeero

As a matter of fact, it will not even load up the original store bought disc!

Wow, this sounds like an easy fix.

If your XBox won't read the original that you just bought (came out yesterday) when your modchip is off, then you need to drive to wherever you bought it and exchange it for a working one.

Having the same problem, tried with XCommander and boXplorer, didn't work with either, didn't get past the EvoX loading screen, so I just turned my chip off and I'm playing it from the disc, and surprisingly it works well, unlike all my other games that hate my Thomson. Great game so far, really creepy.

EDIT:

It says that there is a level before the first one, it's called:
0 Prelude Docks
but the game starts on:
1 PrisonDeathRow

There wasn't even a movie or anything of the docks...
