I use to use my Dreamcast to browse the web from my bedroom back when I used dial-up. Now that I have cable and never was able to get my hands on a Broadband adapter for it, I don't have much use for the dreamcast keyboard.
I am about to install Gentoox and have already created a usb-xbox cable. Is there anyway I can create a connector so that I can plug the keyboard into my usb hub? And please dont tell me to buy the dreamcast controller to xbox converter cable (I want to make something).
Just out of curiosity, I opened up one of my dreamcast controllers to see the wires coming out of the cable. They were Red, Blue, Black, White, and Green, in that order I believe. If the blue wire is rarely used like the XBOX's yellow wire, this would probably mean that they're are similar cables.

I don't think the DC keyboard conforms to USB spec. If you use a homebuilt adapter you may fry the keyboard and/or your XBox port. Make a Xbox to USB cable and just buy a low cost USB keyboard. I've seen HP USB OEM boards going for $16 at small computer shops.

If you want to know how to make an Xbox USB adapter cable, check the last page of the FAQs, I posted a procedure there not too long ago.

I already created the XBOX to USB cable. I was just curious, because I have this extra keyboard in my bedroom anyway.

I got jeyboard of net - searched google uk, and got 10 GBP usb keyboard - use it on Xbox and also PS2 so i think it was worth it
