Here's an idea that I don't think has been raised much in the forums.

Is there a way to use the original MS Xdemos.xbe as opposed to the hacked Complex one.  There would be several benefits to doing that.  First, obviously, the bugs of MenuX could be taken care of.

Second, the MS Xdemos has a neat little feature that allows you to hit the B button and return to the launching application.  So if you're substituting those hefty 1.5GB demos with your own, you could just make your own .xdi and leave the Xdemos alone.  That way you wouldn't have to reboot the Xbox every time you choose a deleted demo from the game menu.

with the option to now use BenJeremy's MXM default.xbe in place of MenuX's it relieves all of the problems that MenuX has.  This is going to be released in the next version.

MenuX, considering it was a hacked and the source code is not available is known to have bugs, (Some games will not load or this or that).  When dropping the MXM.Default.xbe in replace of MenuX.default.xbe those bugs have been elimanted.  While it might take an extra 5 seconds to boot you will no longer have eronous links or as I call them DEAD LINKS.  MXM was made compatable with MenuX so that you were able to use this feature.

For those who want to use MXM as a drop in replacement now.. check the craxtion site.. and read the new guide to craxtion.  I detail how I've been using MXM since day one as a drop in replacement.

It's nice to see craxtion will now offer this as an options to users directly.

it comes as an option, you can either check the box or not.  if you check it, MXM.Default.xbe will replace the MenuX default.xbe.  Very simple, and works like a charm.  I used it early today as a tester and had no problems.

I could release a version right now, the version I have is BUG FREE (to my knowledge although some one will find one) but I would like to have all of my new processes implemented before dropping the bomb.

Any chance of a WIP release?  And why not try for some integration of xISO xFER (with permission of course, and I would think they would give it to you, as you aren't really "competition" for them, the programs have two seperate purposes).

We're all looking forward to a release!

I am implementing an ISO Transfer to XBOX.  It is just taking a dump load of time to figure out the xbox commands.

I was actually just asking if we were going to get a version before all of the features are implemented.  Sorry, I'm just very impatient smile.gif

Could call it an alpha... I'm really anxious to get a copy of the new version, even if it is only partially implemented.

... XoXoXo (simpleX author) has not written a command line extractor to my knowledge.  If any one can find one, send it my way and it will surely be implemented....

You can use SimpleX as a command line program. (I don't know if there are other options that you can add into the command line)

For Extraction:
simplex.exe <ISO Filename> <Folder>

For Creation:
simplex.exe <Folder> <ISO Filename>
