well...ur not screwed...but since im assuming you didnt install it yourself...u might be screwed...

what has happened apparently, one of your wires has come loose, either one of the LPC points or the d0.

what you can do is look over the LPC area and check to see if a LPC looks shady or not ALL the way connected...you can also use a multimeter if you have one and check the continuity of each point to see if it has connectivity...if you find it...get a soldering iron and resolder that point...

but if you dont want to do any of this...my suggestion is to either find someone to "fix" the LPC area or talk to the one who installed it in the first place and complain that he did a shady job...

where you located?

florida, but wouldnt like a piece of electrical tape hold that wire...

I wouldn't recommend it.  Electrical tape can come loose when it gets hot, and the Xbox internals can get in the 50 degree C range.  Soldering is the best option.  I agree with MSN25, your system probably has a shoddy soldering job or loose wiring.  I'd offer to fix it for you, it sounds pretty easy to diagnose, but I'm not in Florida. sad.gif

hey just my opinion but i highly recommend not getting the matrix........ too many probs with it....

Yeah, what probs? Other than making sure not to bump it (causing it to unalign) and only 256K of flash memory, I haven't had a problem.

If you take the old modchip out, your xbox will work like a normal unmodded box, assuming that your hard drive is locked.

The matrix chip isnt all bad, but they're touchy. My friend has one and everytime he takes it somewhere it shakes itself out of alignment. He hates it, is getting sick of opening the box to re-align it all the time, and the screw hole is starting to strip....  last I heard he's saving up $$ to buy a chip with wires.

Your best bet is to find someone local that knows how to solder. It should be free, or darn close to it to have someone re-solder your 2 loose wires.
