When u put in ur new hard drive... i would recommend to use Slayers EvoX Installer... i also cannot tell u its whereabouts due to legal issues!

or try newHDEvox1.4. Burn it onto a cd-rw as a simplex iso image, then put into your xbox drive

ive tried that too, but i really didnt get how to use it, plus it still said my F Partition was empty!

P.s. Should i update my bios? right now i think i have an xecuter 1.1 bios, not really sure tho, everytime i try to flash the bios it says !FLASH NOT WRITABLE!, any help on this would be greatly helpful too.

i think it's your bios... i'm not sure what xecutor bios version supports F drive

Is "Use F Partition" set to YES in your evox.ini? is your drive set to cable select? I presum it's working fine except for the F drive. check the evox.ini.

ok... first off anything evox 2.6 or better is fine.(not too sure about the Xecuter 1.1 but if it allowed a bigger hd to be put in it should do)
and every bios supports the F drive... it was the replacement HD itself that the bios's had problems with. if you already have a bigger HD in your box then your bios need not be updated. you gotta find a tutorial on how to format F: thats all..

also has your HD been locked? not that it matters...

Hdd wasnt locked, im gonna try to update my bios, would X2_4977 work well? or should i go with the EvoX?

ok, now everytime i try to flash the bios, i get this error,

!!FLASH NOT WRITABLE!!

Can anybody help me on this? Im about to hit this damned box with a Sledge hammer

if it's a homebrew 29 or 11 wire mod you can't update it ever ever ever. if it's an lpc mod then you can update it, is the chip on top of the motherboard or on the bottom? either way it shouldn't matter as far as hd upgrade goes, since you have one in there atm. Look for this 'NewHDEvoX1.2' it's a stripped down evox. burn it to cdrw and tell it to set up the new drive. i've used it a dozen times and always get the best setup going each time.

just going to get a new mod anyway, then i can use slayers auto installer or the evox one, which ever one i get to first.
