oops I made an error when reporting pin layout

here's a correct version (i triple checked these):

pink 1
gray 2
blue 3
black 5
brown 9
yellow 12
clear 13
orange 14
white 15

Do a Google for VGA pinout. You are missing the critical Red/Blue/Green Grounds. Suggest you check with the multimeter again. I don't think colors of wires matter since there are many permutations of colors/pinouts in all the VGA cables out there.

I just tested again, and I have:

These results are the same as the last various tries, so I am convinced that this is what I have.

On the other end of the VGA cord there is a plastic cylinder shortly after the vga connection, is it possible that if I cut before this plastic cylinder that I would have all of the wires?

But as far as I know this was a fully functioning vga cable...
