Purple Vertical Lines On Dvd's Only

I just got a new Sony Bravia LCD TV and got the official XBOX 1 HD AV Pack with component cables off ebay.  I hooked it up.  The games play perfectly, but DVD playback has these purple lines in it.  This didn't happen with Composite cables.  I tried switching component cables, no help.  I tried plugging the XBOX on its own outlet, no help.  Tried all kinds of video settings on the XBOX, no help.  This console is not modded at all.  This is what it looks like...

I appreciate any suggestions...I really don't want to have to use my PS2 Slim for DVD's, or have to go to Composite.  Thanks.
