I just bought a Joytech A/V to VGA cable for my 360 so I could play it on my monitor. It was £9.99, so it was relatively cheap. I got it in the post today, and set the Xbox up near the PC. I connected the A/V end to the Xbox and the VGA into the monitor. It took a while to boot up, but it did. Then the Xbox basically started turning itself off. The loading screen would show on the monitor, then it would freeze and there would be no image. Every now and then it would actually get to the dashboard. When I could get there, I looked on the settings and set them to the resolution that was closest to my monitor's 1600x900. I think it was one of the highest resolutions on there. But yeah, it still kept turning itself off. I made sure both ends of the VGA cable were pushed in firmly, but this was still occuring. Then, after about an hour or so, the monitor just stopped displaying the 360's picture altogether. When I boot the Xbox up the monitor doesn't respond, it just remains in sleep mode. Whenever I unplug the VGA cable on the 360 end and then back in, the monitor turns on and tells me it's going into sleep mode. If I unplug it just slightly it will tell me the VGA isn't connected properly. I've been trying over and over to get it working, and nothing has worked. I just wondered if anyone would know how to help me please? Thanks if you can, I'd really appreciate it.
