Green Screen With Rgb Scart Cable
« on: June 01, 2009, 02:37:00 PM »

Hi all,

I hope someone can help me. I bought an advanced AV cable, with composite, s-video and rgb outputs. When connected to rgb input on my tv whole screen has green tint.

I tried VGA bioses (all of them) as I had my xbox connected to my monitor via vga before, colours seems to be fine, can't really tell because all screen is shaking, like no sync at all or something. But that only on Frosty's bios. in Ind whole screen is redish

I tried it under PAL, NTSC, 480p etc. no joy at all.

What I would need to change in my bios using hex editor to have colours like in vga but have sync for tv.
Or is there any other way.

PS. I have xecuter3 modchip, coexant chip

1. Does monitor have SOG?
2. Is cable mode 2+3?

My bad sorry,,, I had written this post before forum crashdown but it dissappeared.

It is Philips CRT TV connected through RGB connection.

The cable should be in RGB mode (1+2+3) as any usual scart cable

Frosty's VGA works with mode 2+3.

are you trying to say that I should turn off 1? I will have to strip down the cable then, but that won't be scart signal anymore!

I'm saying you need to find a VGA bios with support of 1+2+3 in that case - and I'm not certain if there is one.

sorted now. It showed up that one of the cables wasn't soldered properly in rgb plub. Reflowed all connectors and worked like a charm
