How To Tell If A Game Is In 480p?
« on: May 23, 2009, 03:11:00 PM »

Hey all I got a xbox hdtv component adapter recently as well as a new TV. I have everything setup with my softmodded(used Splinter Cell) and I went into the secondary(recovery) dashboard to change the settings to 720p which my monitor supports. I have seen in my games (such as Doom 3) that the pistol looks better detailed as well as the pentagram loading icon, but is there any sure fire way to know. I do know that the highest most xbox games support is 480p but I just guessed that they would be down scaled to 480p with the settings on 720p.

Can anyone give me a pic of a game in standard component definition then in 480p? Thanks all.

Your TV should have an info button that tells what res it is currently at.  You can use XBMC to set the xbox resolutions.
