Vga Cable + Bios Problem(?)

That looks like a monitor issue, since the colors are correct and the sync is correct.

Have you tried it on another monitor?

Also, VGA Patcher v0.8 is an older method of patching a BIOS for VGA, have you considered trying the X2 5035 VGA BIOS?

Check my signature for details on that BIOS. happy.gif

P.S. 1+3 Mode does not work with my VGA patcher, only 2+3 will work. (Mode 1+3 will always give you a black screen after loading)

Oh, so you mean only those 2 do that?

It's because they use 480i not 480p.

Both the startup screen and the MS Dash use interlaced video, which is not supported by any VGA BIOS except for the X2 5035 VGA BIOS.

You could use 'VGA Boot Disc v1.0' instead, it's just a disc-bootable PBL of the X2 5035 VGA BIOS.

But to answer your overall question, yes, that is normal with the VGA Patcher for the start-up screen and the MS Dash to look that way (because they run at 480i not 480p). In fact, most monitors don't even show those normally (just a black screen), you just got lucky with your monitors. happy.gif
