360 Hdtv Cable Hack To Reguler Xbox Cable
« on: April 19, 2009, 03:05:00 PM »

Well I guess looking at pinouts is the right way about it.
What exactly do you want? Do you want an Xbox version of the 360 cable so you can switch between standard-def. and hi-def. Handy if you use the Xbox on 2 different TVs a lot. One TV having HD (component) inputs and the other being SD so only having composite input.
Or do you want to just turn the 360 cable into a component Xbox cable?
For the first I don't know if anybody has ever put up a tutorial to do this. I never look in the 360 forums.
If you're after a Xbox component cable I know 3rd party cables can be risky but my one was £1.50 on EBay and it works fine. Not free but not exactly expensive.

I recently bought a component cable for my box on ebay and was planning to do a mod not unlike this. My component cable has started giving strange feedback. Although I haven't opened it yet, I suspect that because the rgb wires are not individually shielded, they are giving each other interference. I was simply going to find a spare 360 cable and rewire it to the xbox 1 component connector, but this seems way more interesting!
