sounds like you have a combination of xbox and xbox 360 because only the xbox can be softmodded and sounds like u have a 360 which bios cant be modified have no idea what ur talking  about

??? what are you takling about?

crazy goat - a vga to component cable can be used with an xbox (1) component cable to get vga IF you have a modified VGA bios, and IF your screen supports Sync On Green.
it sounds like either don't have a VGA bios or your screen does not support SOG, if so, you will need a sync separator, which will basically require you to build your own cable. there are guides everywhere for this.

sorry dude i thought he was talking about the 360 drive totally my fault didnt realize that and to use it ur monitor has to support sync on green like said but if it doesn't there is a tutorial on here that will convert the signals which u can also try
