How To Get Vga Bios On Already Softmodded Box
« on: August 28, 2007, 02:48:00 PM »

Well the way I would do it. is to flash the TSOP bios and MAKE it hardmodded..... if your prepared to open up your xbox and you know how to handle a soldering iron.
thats just me (i never liked soft-modding)
you could even put in a switch and dual boot VGA/Normal bioses
there are probably ways to have a bios loaded when your xbox is softmodded. have a look around the forums a bit more and on the xbox scene tutorials. unless someone jumps in and tells you exactly what to do. if you need some help hard modding i could probably offer some advice

ok then. this tutorial will show you how to convert any bios to work with a softmod
http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=246395
before you do that though you will need a VGA bios. you can either use frostythesnowman's patch on a bios of your choice or find one in 'the usual place' (i recommend the patch. it is really good and easy enough to do)

EDIT: actually Frosty has already made a BFM bios here

good luck

which softmod did you use?
from the last time i used a softmod i think the folder containing the loading program and the bios is in the E drive. it is usually a gamesave. if you are using a gamesave exploit. have a look at the guide you used to install the softmod
