Streaming Video To The Xbox
« on: March 14, 2007, 11:37:00 AM »

Can someone tell me how to stream video from the PC, to the XBox?
I didn't think it was possible; but someone stated that they have/are doing it, and stated it is simple its just like ' browsing a windows share'....

Can someone spread some insight on this....

Have you tried looking over the SMB guides found in this pinned topic?

I stream all the media - mp3's, vids, dvds, pics etc from our PC to the living room with the XBOX & the big TV.

Our box is chipped, so I can run a prog called XBox Media Center (XBMC). I just connected it to our local network at the router with a normal (long) network cable.  XBMC works like a media center GUI, so you have a menu for stuff like pics, music, vids etc. It even sorts out files, builds thumnails for CD & DVD covers etc etc.
