Ok, so your Sony Vaio has, im guessing, Video (Yellow) at the back of the monitor and speakers at the front or to the side. (Red/White)
It could just be your xbox being on for too long, u could do the
very easy 12v fan mod (requires opening the xbox) or it could be your monitor.
Its prolly your xbox. Ironic that your $ony Monitor and M$ xbox dont want to get along.
