« on: February 16, 2007, 07:31:00 PM »

Could it be the monitor? (have u tried hooking the monitor up to a pc or another source)
How do u connect the xbox to the monitor? (did u make your own VGA cable {SOG or not} or did u buy a VGA Box, if so which one?)

i left the xbox for a day and it seems to be working fine now. i think it may be something to do with the heat as the xbox was on for a long time. i have never had this problem before. if it is worth looking up on it please continue replying. your efforts is much appreciated. i connected the xbox to my sony vaio that comes with 2 RCA sockets one at the back of the tower and one at the front.

Ok, so your Sony Vaio has, im guessing, Video (Yellow) at the back of the monitor and speakers at the front or to the side. (Red/White)

It could just be your xbox being on for too long, u could do the very easy 12v fan mod (requires opening the xbox) or it could be your monitor.
Its prolly your xbox. Ironic that your $ony Monitor and M$ xbox dont want to get along.  laugh.gif

Heres the tut for doing the 12v fan mod:

btw if u dont know what to do, choose the 1st option and buy a 3 pin fan to 4 pin molex adapter. (look online or support your local computer store)
It looks like this:
