What application are you using to watch your videos?

If you're using XBMC, are you using a recent release?

well xbmp is hardly supported anymore, and probably doesn't have teh codecs you need.  If you really want to use xbmp, you'll have to add some updated codecs probably.  It might not even have codecs for xvid or something, i dunno, but why don't you just use xbmc?  It's exponentially better, more stable, and far more feature packed and cleanly set up, if you ask me.  XBMP is kinda like just a really really young version of XBMC.  If you just prefer xbmp, well thats cool, but either way, my bet is that its a codec problem.

For some reason I cant get xbmc to work. I dont even see a option to use it. I use avalaunch, and I tried the updates, but it seems like they're not installing because everytime I go to download the updates are still there. I can see a xbmc folder under apps I just cant get the application to load.

I was able to get it to work. For some reason the only way to get it to load is I have to go in under the file manager apps/xbmc and run default.xbe after I run that it loads, and plays fine. I just dont understand why I dont have an option to load it like I do with xbmp.
