Buy a new TV

How the hell would that help?

Anyway, what games/apps are you running?  Do they support DD?

Are you using the official MS cable?

The dash is meant to recognise the cable type because it connects a certain set of pins together on the AVIP.  The only things I can thing of are:

- Damaged cable, so this connection isn't being made.
- Damage on the AVIP/Mobo side, connection isn't being made.
- Crappy 3rd party cable that borke/didn't have this connection.

i believe on softmods, you need to create a eeprom_off.bin in root E or C, reboot to ms dash, and then you should be able to change AV settings in MS Dash.
