Probably A Stupid Already Answered Vga Question
« on: January 25, 2007, 03:55:00 AM »

Ive been reading frostys vga thread and I have a sony TV that has a vga pc input. So i thought i could give that ago.

Now i have an X3 on a V1.6b xbox, from what i read from frosty, due to xcalibur not having its data sheet released im not able to use vga at certain resolutions? is this correct or can still use vga through the dashboards?

Also everyone seems to be making cables to do this vga mod, my question is can you not buy a 360 vga cable cut the 360 connecter off and reconnect it to an xbox connecter?

anyway if it has already been answered feel free to flame away i searched and kept being taken to 360 forums where i didnt want to be!!!

Unfortunately, v1.6 XBOXes are unsupported. If you use my VGA Patcher on a v1.6 XBOX, you will simply be met by a green tinted screen.  sad.gif

But as far as the cable goes, yes, you could simply remove the 360 end from an XBOX 360 VGA cable, and then just re-wire it for the original XBOX if you wanted to.  happy.gif
