is it because halo 2 doesnt support wide screen or is it because im doing something wrong?

Can you give us more info. If your doing something wrong it would help if we knew what the problem sparked off from.
Saying that there should be no problem with it in wide screen unless your TV has had it.

well..

im using mad catz hd cable to connect

i turned on 480p and 720p and left 1080i off

i changed from normal to widescreen and ms dash looks like it changed to widescreen in a normal tv (so that means that xbox is thinking the hdtv its runned on is actual an old squared shaped tv)

i saved the settings in Unleash Launcher

is my xbox being modded a problem?

i dont know, what am i doing wrong?

hmm, i'm not sure if you should have 480d and 720d on at the same time. and if your using a square TV put it on normal. if widescreen put ir on widescreen. and it might be th HD cable, the game isnt HD and i dont know if your tv is HDready but some people have troubles with the HD cable i dont know what it does it just doesnt work all the time with xbox settings so try it back with the normal composite cable and see wat happens.

ok, the problem is NONE of the games are played in widescreen.

when i turn on my xbox, its squared shaped on the screen, instead of it being widescreen size.

i dont know what exactly is the problem but i tried to hook up an xbox on a plasma tv and it was wide for all games, i think it just stretches automatically or something.

i dont know, but that LCD screen is pissing me off, cuz i cant make any games run in widescreen.

i used the same mad catz hd cord to hook up 360, and its wide screen!!!
