hmm...is it possible to get a tv tuner card and make XBMC record tv using the card from the pc?

if you can find a usb dongle that you can get to work with linux it might work. XBMC doesn't support recording so you would have to install linux
the resolution would be shithouse with usb V1, probably worse than a VCR
i doubt the xbox is powerful enough to encode video and it only has 64MB of ram. you might be able to get it to work if you don't have X running and do it from the command line or something. if your idea is to get it to function as a PVR... well good luck to you. maybe someone else on this forum can help

yeah thats possible. i think xbmc can stream from a smb (windows) computer. you could probably set up VLC media player (or some other program) to stream direct from your tv card
if you are putting a tv card in your computer, why not just use that to output to your tv instead of the xbox?
