System Working But With No Video (sound Ok)
« on: January 06, 2007, 08:58:00 AM »

Thank you to all 9 of you who viewed this post but didn't bother to reply if you ever saw this happen before.  A simple yes/no would have been fine, but instead you just ignored it.
We definitely would save bandwidth answering peoples' problems the way you have done for me, but not much would actually get accomplished.
  So ya....... Thanks for nothing

I have heard of this problem before. I am not sure why its caused, but I speculate that the video chip is malfunctioning. Do a google search and see what people say

There's an excellent chance that you fault lies with an open circuit video choke.
See picture for location. Its the one marked: L4A4:

You'll need the aid of a multimeter set for continuity. Measure to see if it does have continuity. If not, then its most likely open circuit. You can fix it by bridging a thin piece of wire across it.
Please let us know how you get on.
