what is the ready doing ? May ready and eject be swapped ? If they would be what would happen ? I can watch movies on the drive, would that be possible without ready ??

So, on the http://xbox-linux.so...t/pic/pcdvd.pdf  schematic, DVD Power (end of cable),
number (5) would go to pin (3) on the DVD audio. Number (7) would go to DVD pin (2), number (4)
would go to DVD pin (1), and number (6) would go to DVD pin (4), right?

that would be correct if u had looking at back of dvd from left to right on audio
pin 1 eject
pin 2 trin
pin 3 trout
pin 4 ready (M1)

OK it works now it was indeed a wiring problem but while playing a disk it blinks i do not remeber doing this on my previous drive. Any Idea how to make me less nervous looking at the blinking drive ?

is it possible that the blinking is from the led that is inside the xbox on the 616t ? Is it possible to shoot it out ?

Could anyone be so kind as to recommend me to a dealer for the 616t?  I have been searching with no real luck.  Would prefer a usa seller, but international is fine if none locally...

there is no more dealer it isnt manufactured anymore. You will have to find a used one.
