I recently purchased the EPSON 755c multimedia projector to watch movies and play my xbox 360 on it. The picture is fabulous. There is just one problem.
My projector natively supports a 1024x768 resolution. I connect my xbox 360to it with Microsoft branded kit. I believe the projector supports up to 720p and 1080i.
When i select any resolution, the image remains in a 4:3 aspect ratio. When I go to my projector settings, it still says im projected at 1024x768 @ 59.4hz. unless i select 1360x768, in which the image converts itself to a 16:9 aspect ratio and the image is displayed properly. While that resolution is fine by me (1366\0x768), most games don't support it, so some of the image gets cutoff around the screen.
I'm just wondering why that is, and if someone can explain it to me (the 4:3 aspect ratio issue when i set the xbox setting to 720p).
