Want To Install 5" Lcd In My Box

i have a 5" screen and i want to install it in my box. but i dont know wich wires are video and power. i have 3 wires 1 yellow, 1 brown, 1 red. can someone plz help.

As a guess, I would reckon that the red would be power (but at what voltage and current rating??) and yellow would be video, but some specs and numbers of the LCD might help...

the thing is i cant find any place that sells my tv. ive been looking for it on the web page and all over the internet. if any one can help me find it that would help me alot. it is a starvision 500z. i believ it is a 5" lcd. THX again.

you said in your last thread that this was from a car, right?
that means that the power is most likely going to be 12v

brown- negative
red- +12v
yellow- video signal

this is my guess
i'll do some research for ya

ok im going to try that then. but can that be conected to the mobo or should i do it by rca. i realy dont care about hidef. i just want the little tv to work. and one more quick question. is the red wire on the stock psu 12v out.

yellow on the psu is 12v

i know that. but he thing is that i don't know wich wire on the lcd is the power the ground and the video. unsure.gif

The key here is to get a manual from starvision.  The 500z is not a valid starvision model number.  Try to find a different number somewhere.  Or, it may be part of a larger assembly.  Possibly not even a Starvision assembly.  Someone else may have integrated a starvision display into their model 500z.

yea i had it working in my car but then when i went and sold it to car max all i did was take out the dvd player and and replaced the headrest so i didn't look like their was anything their before. so when i sold it i forgot all about the power and rca cable that was left in the chair itself.
