as it says, i want to get my xbox to work on my 19" samsung dvi monitor. i would rather go dvi then vga because it is a better picture overall.
DVI carries two types of signal. TMDS (digital) and/or VGA. The Xbox does not support TMDS (or any other digital video interface), so you're stuck with VGA. DVI with TMDS is called DVI-D, DVI with VGA is called DVI-A and DVI with both is called DVI-I.

ive found some component to dvi, and i know they make a xbox to component, the only problem is i think the convertor for c to dvi goes the other way so the video wont transfer.
The other thing i found was a dvi to rca female, but i know component is better then rca.
Has anybody tryed this? i really want to get it to dvi if its possible.
thanks
The best you can get out of the Xbox is standard component video and VGA. VGA can be used with DVI-devices which support DVI-A or DVI-I. DVI-D is not an option.
