Hi,

I recently got a 32" LCD samsung TV, and its capable of displaying at 720p. I understand that the PAL console doesn't have the option for HD, but the NTSC has.

I have only recently modded my xbox, and it is running unleasedX done by the softmod technique. I know i need the HD TV leads for the xbox, but i know i need to change my xbox to NTSC.

I have looked at the Slayers EvoX auto installer and it has options to change your console to NTSC (but for advanced users).

Anyone can offer any advice in how i can get HD on my xbox so i can watch DVDs in very nice resolutions?

[edit] I searched the forums yesterday and didn't find much information. One thing i did find was enigmahX, which didn't really work. It loaded up, said PAL, i changed it to NTSC, waited a few minutes, and nothing seemed to happen, rebooted and it still said PAL.

Well, since you have a softmod, do you also have a shadow C drive and a shadow EEPROM?

What you seek is 'Enigmah Video Switcher'. You can use it to switch your Xbox from PAL to NTSC and vice versa.

If you are using a softmod with NKPatcher, make sure that Enigmah Video Switcher can write to the Virtual EEPROM if it is enabled.

I've spent the evening investigating further.

I did the NDURE patch, and at the time when the options for nkpatcher were selected i didn't choose any of the three. Now i have looked this evening and downloaded nkpather and have noticed that you can create your own .xde file which you cn execute and i'm guessing it will impliment the changes that i need to be done?

Is this the best way?

In the config.inc i am unsure which partion refers to which drive, i'm guessing partition0 is C, partition1 is E, partition2 is F?

I have FTPed to my xbox and can't see any shadowc folders on C or E drive. I have tried using the slayer evoX cd to make a backup, but it seems to want to write to c:\backup but it makes no backup.

Am i going on the right course or totally confusing myself now?

[edit]On E drive i don't have a folder called "shadowc" but i do have a folder called "ndts" and in there is a sub folder called "C" and "E". Is this the shadowc? I do remember when doing the ndure that i did select the shadowc option.

I found the soltuion.

I an running UnleasedX and hadn't gone to e:\ndts\default.xbe.

This then brings you to another menu where you can set options for the eeprom, and then means you can use Enigmah Video Switcher to switch to NTSC.
