Fixing The Vga+720p Purple Tint ?

But who knows when we will get a patch for modchip users? It could be months. From what I can tell, this thread has been dead for a few weeks now, And DVADER hasn't been online in over a month.

So what I was proposing was a temporary solution for modchip users. After all, you CAN flash the original MS BIOS to a modchip, so why couldn't you dump the patched BIOS and flash it? Something tells me that it CAN be done.  biggrin.gif

What would be great is to backup the non-patched bios.  Then, backup the patched one.  Compare the two in a hex editor and see what changed.  Then, theoretically, you could make the same changes in another bios and it would work.

Evox reads/dumps the bios from the TSOP chip.  Not the memory.  Therefore, when I did the backup, it just made a normal regular stock 4034 retail bios.  Where did all the vga bios editors go?  Has anybody tried contacting DVADER?

It would be nice and all, but seriously guys, what's the point?  If you're using a PC monitor i'm assuming you have access to a PC.  There are only a handfull of 720p games.  The only other application I can think of is 720p for XBMC.  but honestly, run the videos on your PC and you get 1024x768 or whatever which is much better.  Other than that, perhaps linux.

A better thing to fix would be the green tint issue.  And no, I'm not going to install a softmod on my hard-mod since I want to be able to use the MS dash.  Jade Empire in 480p would be nice though, what I nice looking game.  oh yes, my projector can do this, score!

::end of bitching.  Bored, its late, and i hate the internet::  oh, and stop using EvoX, its old and crappy.

XBMC is the real reason why I wanted this.  It just looks so amazing in 720p.  I thought DVADER's patcher got rid of the green tint?

XBMC is the main and only reason i want 720p.  You must not use xbmc that much, because watching my dvd movies, music, and playing emulators old school games in 720p IS the only way to go...bye bye scanlines, and a much more colorful vibrant picture.  I am currently using one of the original x2vga's with my conexant video chip xbox's, and while the picture in 720p is great, i'd still love to have complete and native 720p vga support, instead of a transcoded component to vga.

And no, DVADER's patch didn't fix any of the green issues.
