Voltage Output Of Red/white Rca Cables

go here to see where to wire for an analog signal.. sound doesnt really output voltage.. sound sensitive devices have a microphone.. just cut the mic off and wire the two wires to the red or white audio wires

Sorry to thread hijack. But I would like some L+R stereo RCA sockets on the back of my xbox so I can plug my xbox straight into my AMP. Can I just simply solder them like it shows in the link or do I need to make a switch too?

Or can I, simply just by the right connectors, solder them to the points stated and that's it?

Theoretically, you may add an unlimited number of sound output of any kind which will be usable at the same time. smile.gif

Thanks for the hijack. If you don't need to use the red and white cables for anything else, just plug those straight into the amp. Be sure to turn your input level on the amp all the way down so you don't damage anything starting out.  Red=Right      Left=White

Back to my topic. I just need to know the format output by the red and white cables. Does anyone know if the standard output of the red/white cables is a pure signal? (ex sin wave -> sin wave) Or is it compressed digital? (ex sin wave -> sampled sound wave with compression) Or is it encoded?  Now remember I'm not talking Dolby Digital 5.1, I'm just talking about what comes out of the standard red/white cables of the xbox ( Unless Dolby Digital 5.1 is what comes out of the standard cables that came with the xbox).

I am not quite shure if that is what ur asking but I tried already using my xbox on several headphones, PC speakers and my stereo with two rca inputs. None of these is supposed to accept anything except plain audio.
