Ehm... are you serious? Have you not been able to find a more basic or more dumb question? grr.gif

Anyways, of course you can run nearly any game with any region on your console. Naturally you must have a modded xbox and in some cases your TV set/ monitor must be able to display PAL.

Thanks for being so nice and understanding dickwad, you could have at least answered the question while you were taking up space.  I have tried to switch the region in the system management, but still failed to load the game.
I also heard of the enigam video switcher, though i am not totally sure how to use that, and the damn search button sucks here.  I did extract the files out of the iso so i didnt waste a disc and put them in the apps, but when i started it my screen did the really weird like thing, so i guess it might not be PAL compatible.  Crappy tv.

If you press 'A' or 'B', this will change your Xbox's video mode between PAL and NTSC.

After changing the video output, though, you may need to burn the Enigmah video mode switch disc to an actual disc in order to bring your Xbox back to NTSC.

I didn't mean to get personal. Just there are too many lazy bones out here these days. The forum search with google is not too much fun indeed.

Please tell us which game it is. What exactly did your TV behave like in PAL mode? Just black, colored, heavy overscan...?

My advice is to try some things, like RGB- or Component-Cable, which fixes color-problems and possibly frequency-problems as well. Also try PAL60 if the game supports it, that may help.

Maybe PAL60 is used and the TV can't handle it? Just a guess here...

If you are seeing black and white (and/or rolling), then clearly the TV is incapable of displaying PAL colour.

And please don't play PAL MGS 2 on the Xbox, it is an abomination of a conversion. Stick to the 60Hz version.
