that doesnt mean crap.. you have to access the msdash to fix the problem

well you obviously need to get ms dash installed again and then change video through that.  

load msdash from slayers, or get ti from the usual places

Yeah its the setting in the MS dash that will determine whether ur outputting HD or not.

Had the same problem at my bros place. We were trying to get dolby digital out of my advanced AV pack, changed settings in unleashx, xbmc, and got nothing. After a few hours of confusion, went to the MS dash and turned it on, voila.

Its the master switch, nothing else can change it.

IMO softmods suck. You're so limited on what u can do. If you get a black screen when trying to go to the MS dash then maybe suttin is blocking it to stop updates, or softmods sucks, 1 of the 2.

the slayers disk has an option in the section where you add the program at the very bottom to reinstall the msdash
