Hi folks,
I have a PAL Xbox which is about to be converted to NTSC; I also have a component video cable and an X2VGA2 on the way so I can play games on my VGA monitor. Now, the conversion to NTSC to enable HDTV is a fairly easy mod of course, but I was hoping to use the "Enigmah Video Mode Switch Disc".
I have a 1.6a Xbox flashed using a DuoX3 modchip (blegh), and running EvoX M8 1.6 BIOS. I also use EvolutionX (which I boot from DVD) on occasion.
I acquired the .ISO of the disk via the usual methods. However, nothing I can do will make this disk boot. It is accepted as a valid disk by the Xbox, which then trys to load the disk and then pauses for a few seconds before going back to the MS Dashboard and telling me the disc is not valid. Next, I tried extracting the files from the ISO and installing them in the E:\Apps directory on the Xbox hard disk. It appears as a valid application to execute, but when I launch it I get the EvolutionX logo and the Xbox sits there and does nothing. Ergo, I think my burns are fine but there is something odd about the Enigmah files.
I have also installed ConfigMagic, and it works fine, but you know how it is - I'm stubborn and want to make the darn Enigmah app work.
Do I have to run some special BIOS in order to run the Enigmah video mode switch disc - or are there other arcane rituals I have to complete to get it working as well?
Thanks,
Kaldek
