Change Xbox Startup/scheme Sounds?

Wondering if its possible to change (mostly the noisy xbox startup sound) and others.
I copied sounds from xbox C\Audio but none will play in winamp,soundforge or media centre.The wav file properties indicate 48khz 432 kps 4 bit stereo.
I don`t want to change anything just yet (in case this will crash dash?),just checking out possibilities.
Maybe someone will know

The starup sound is located in the BIOS, not so easy to modify/replace.
MS Dash sounds are in the with the dash files on C:\, as for changing them, never tried and havnt read on anything major happening with it.
Best check the dashboards section for that.

You`re right,the startup sound must be in with bios,theres me thinking it was in with the rest in audio.
As an experiment i got in with ftp and deleted the whole audio folder,now it navigates with no sounds bar the bootup sound with no ill effects which is fine by me.
After a bit of reading flashing a custom bios without startup sound is only way to get past this,i`ll live with that lol.
